About > A Sense of Space

Eight banquettes and 22 tables fill the space. An action packed kitchen-facing bar/counter seats eight. All of the chairs are custom-crafted by ISA International of Toronto and complement the handcrafted butcher-block Madrone tables clad with an artisan copper tabletop.

Adding to the atmosphere are glowing light boxes on the bar and "clouds of light" – six by three foot frames with special paper filters that serve as lighting structures suspended from the ceiling. Two of the walls near the bar have been painted as floor to ceiling chalkboards, golds and earthy browns have been selected for the ceiling and walls to complement the furniture and fixtures.
All of the wood used in the restaurant from the butcher block Madrone tables and bar tops to the exposed ceiling beams are sustainable, and all of the finishes used on the walls, ceiling and furniture are environmentally safe. Lee Winn of Sienna Architecture designed the restaurant's public space.
