With the economy in shambles and our property values near 2003 levels, Lauro Kitchen is dishing out some much needed respite.We're introducing Lauro's Hour of Happiness and selected our three most popular menu items and priced them at 2003 levels, our first year in business. The Happiness Hour Menu begins March 27th.

New Menu Items for Spring Begin April 2nd

We love Spring around here and here’s why: new, long awaited ingredients appear in our kitchen, like artichokes, peas, fava beans, spring lamb, morel mushrooms, and asparagus. Look for these dishes in early April.

• Portuguese Style Pork Loin with Roasted Peppers, Lemon and Cilantro
• Butter Lettuce Salad with Radishes, Avocado, Goat Cheese & Tarragon Vinaigrette

Exciting news. For the next six weeks, Wednesday nights are Nel Centro night at Lauro. Nel Centro (Nel CHentro) is David Machado's newest restaurant. We’re featuring select dishes from Nel Centro’s test menu for our specials. Celebrate the cuisines of Nice and Genoa–and David’s return to downtown Portland where his culinary career took off. Hungry for Knowledge - Lauro Raises School Funds

Will you help us build a better community? On selected dates, twenty per cent of the proceeds benefit local Southeast public schools. Have lunch or dinner with us on the following dates and you can help our local schools. Tuesday March 31st, to benefit Mt. Tabor Middle School, Tuesday, April 28th helps raise funds for Sunnyside Environmental School, May 19th benefits Buckman Elementary School, and, Tuesday June 2nd will benefit da Vinci Arts Middle School.

It’s just about one year since Lauro Kitchen began serving lunch. So here’s a reminder -- lunch at Lauro is really terrific, we’re usually not crowded and, it’s a less expensive way to sample a pretty tasty menu. We serve lunch Tues-Sat. from 11:30 until 2:30. Help Us Fund Fresh Water for the Third World
